Our Programs

Overview:

In partnership with the Department of Child Services, our services are tailored to assist families and individuals cope with specific challenges.  Our staff are trained to take into account the cultural strengths of the families, as we work together to fulfill our mutual goals.

Home-Aid/Homemaker Services: Is geared towards child safety, parenting skills, time management skills, problem solving skills, budget and supervision, referrals for community resource identification, home management, and eventual permanency of family and reunification. 

Goals: To equip the parents/children to work efficiently together, practice better time management, and ultimately become successful in strengthening the parent/children relationship.

Father Engagement Services: Help fathers connect with their children and encourage appropriate parenting skills.

Goals: Foster stronger bond between father and children.

Tutoring Services: Our tutoring services will provide coaching to children who need extra help to succeed in school.

Goals: Ensure children understand the concepts to ensure progression in curriculum.

Parent Education Programs: Intended to help new and seasoned immigrants understand the differences of parenting skills between their home country and the United States.

Goals: Educate parents and equip them with tools to discipline children and assist them in the lifelong task of disciplining, understanding, and nurturing their children.

Counseling: This service is geared towards helping non-English speaking refugee and new immigrant families in need of counseling.

Goals: Improve communication and coping skills.

Interpretation and Translation Services: This service is geared towards providing the necessary support to overcome communication barriers.

Goal: Transmit information, and ideas.
